Can I use copyrighted images in my custom design?
No—you must own the rights to any artwork, logos, or images you upload to the Build Your Own Merch tool. This means you can only use designs that are either created by you, royalty-free, or used with explicit permission from the rightful owner.
What You Can’t Use
You cannot upload trademarked logos, characters from games or movies, or any images taken from other brands, creators, or companies—unless you’ve been granted legal permission to use them. Even popular memes, fan art, or celebrity photos can fall under copyright protection.
What Happens If You Do?
We take intellectual property rights seriously, and our system may flag or reject any designs that appear to violate copyright rules. Orders with unauthorised content may be cancelled without notice to protect both you and us from legal issues.
What You Can Use Safely
You’re welcome to upload original artwork, personal photos, or custom text designs that you’ve made yourself. These types of creations are perfect for gifts, personal branding, or just having fun with your own ideas.
